Jennifer Shirkey will co-present with Lisa Germano of Actuarial Benefits and Design Company at the Virginia Society of CPAs (“VSCPA”) Employee Benefits & Retirement Plan Symposium on June 27, 2019 in Glen Allen, VA. Their topic will be Fiduciary Risk Management: Developing ERISA Bubble Wrap for Plan Operations.
Cathy Welsh will present a Legislative and Employment Case Law Update to the Shenandoah Valley Society for Human Resource Management (SVSHRM). Cathy will update SVSHRM members at their January meeting regarding recent state and federal employment law regulations, cases and enforcement actions.
Jennifer Shirkey has been invited to present at the Brown Edwards Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) Conference. Her session will cover corporate governance for ESOP companies as well as recent IRS and DOL developments.
Mike Derdeyn will present on the basics of employment contracts, including offer letters, non-disclosure provisions, restrictive covenants, and other contract terms to the Winchester Area Society of Human Resource Management (WASHRM) at their September meeting.
