Stephen N. Shashy Joins Flora Pettit in its Charlottesville Office

Flora Pettit welcomes Stephen N. Shashy to its Charlottesville office, where he will focus on tax planning, compliance, and controversies for individuals, businesses, trusts and estates, and nonprofits. Shashy brings experience from a global law firm and as a trial attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice Tax Division, litigating matters in U.S. Tax Court, District Courts, and state courts. A graduate of Amherst College and the University of Virginia School of Law, he led the Virginia Tax Review and received the Edwin S. Cohen Tax Prize. Named a Virginia Rising Star by Super Lawyers, he strengthens Flora Pettit’s established tax practice serving clients across Virginia.

Flora Pettit Attorneys Honored by Selection for Inclusion in the 2022 Virginia Super Lawyers List

Flora Pettit is pleased to announce that five of its attorneys have been honored by selection for inclusion in the 2022 Virginia Super Lawyers list, a Thomson Reuters business. Three of Flora Pettit’s attorneys have been recognized for inclusion in the “Virginia Super Lawyers” list and two of its attorneys have been named to the “Virginia Rising Stars” list. Super Lawyers annually selects lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement through a rigorous process that includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations. To be selected as a Rising Star, lawyers must either be 40 years old or younger, or have been in practice for 10 years or fewer.
