Lenhart Pettit has a strong tradition of giving back to the community. This fall, our own Jennifer Shirkey will be carrying on that tradition as one of seven local celebrity "stars" in the fifth annual Dancing with the Stars of the Burg competition. This premiere local fundraising event benefits Harrisonburg Rockingham Child Daycare Center (HRCDCC). HRCDCC is a nonprofit organization that has been providing care for children regardless of the family's financial resources since 1971. Jennifer has been matched with Carlos Coronado as her pro partner to dance the Paso Doble, and this year's show has a Broadway theme. On July 1st, Jennifer Shirkey was installed as Vice Chair of the Board of Governors for the Virginia State Bar's Trust and Estates Section. She will serve as Chair from 2015 to 2016. The VSB's Trusts and Estates Section promotes the exchange of ideas among lawyers who deal with wills, estates, trusts and related matters.
