Richard Howard-Smith Elected President of the Charlottesville Albemarle Bar Association (CABA)

Richard began a one year term as CABA President on July 1st. CABA, currently in its 103rd year, is Virginia's largest all volunteer Bar Association, with approximately 400 members. CABA’s mission is to preserve and improve the legal profession and its services to the people of the Charlottesville-Albemarle community. Richard follows his law partners Page Williams, David Pettit, Ralph Feil (deceased), and Fred Wood (deceased) in this Bar and community service.

Apple to Require Every App in the App Store to have a Privacy Policy

Apple recently issued a reminder that, beginning October 3, 2018, App Store Connect will require a privacy policy for all new apps and app updates before they can be submitted for distribution on the App Store or through TestFlight external testing. Attorney Matt Von Schuch Joins Lenhart Pettit

Lenhart Pettit is pleased to announce that Matthew Von Schuch has joined the law firm as a shareholder in its Harrisonburg office effective August 6, 2018. In addition to his law degree, Matt is a Certified Public Accountant. Before returning to the Valley to practice law in 2012, Matt was a trial attorney in the Tax Division of the U.S. Department of Justice where he served as the IRS’s lawyer in tax cases before federal courts throughout the country. Matt is the recipient of several honors from the U.S. Department of Justice and the IRS.
